• WATER MEETS WOOD

  “I respect all materials, even the most artificial and the most surprising” Issey Miyake Observe nature, its rhythms, its work, the effect of the elements on life… That’s the starting point for this story…A meeting that is real, authentic… An interaction based on authenticity, nature and the essential. Caressed by water, warmed by the sun, scrubbed by sand, wood becomes polished, hollowed and softened. Worn, with a rich patina, a piece of driftwood reveals the subtleties of its authenticity.

• GREETINGS TO THE WORLD

  This year, Issey Miyake has imagined a Christmas that unites people from all parts of the world–from East to West. An East glowing with the soft light of lanterns; and a West radiant with snow-capped Christmas trees. Issey Miyake tells the story of an encounter between tradition and modernity, natural materials and technical design. An attractive reusable gift is also included: a paper Christmas tree decoration that recreates the warmth and magical atmosphere of the festive season. A delicate gift set that inspires dreams…

• EAU D'ISSEY EDITION ETTORE SOTTSASS

  In 1997, during an encounter between the two artists, ETTORE SOTTSASS sketched a bottle for ISSEY MIYAKE. In 2009, ISSEY MIYAKE wanted to honour this renowned designer, whose work he particularly admires. This is how the L'Eau d'Issey ETTORE SOTTSASS Edition came to be. Only 2000 of these exclusive, rare bottles were made. Close collaboration with Studio ETTORE SOTTSASS made it possible to produce this work of art despite its technical complexity.

• Edition béton - Concrete édition

  This spring 2009, L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme and L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme Intense have been treated to a brand new form of expression, playing with materials, art and encounter. The result is a manifesto of Water and Concrete: a first step in water, a footprint in concrete. The unprecedented technical feat consisted in entirely adorning the bottles and tops in real concrete! A signature? A manifesto? The tag was an obvious choice for these concrete bottles, just as it is an inevitable feature of urban tower blocks.

• Une Goutte de Nuage

  In the wake of “Une Goutte sur un Pétale” and “Reflets d’une Goutte“, L’Eau d’Issey experiences another ephemeral moment of nature with “Une Goutte de Nuage”. Buffeted by winds, clouds wander the skies, journeying eternally. The water drop, light and airy, carries their fragrance. This new, celestial moment of nature reveals the fresh, sparkling opening of a floral woody fragrance possessing a musky sillage and a feminine, delicate character. For this latest limited edition, the L’Eau d’Issey bottle wears a milky, opaline veil. On the box, the artwork evoking a pink, twilight sky and the scattering of delicate perforations express the weightlessness of clouds and the multitude of water droplets they contain.

• Kuramata

  In 1990, at the request of Issey Miyake, Shiro Kuramata designed several bottle shapes. Mr. Miyake would have liked to use one of these shapes for the L’Eau d’Issey bottle. Years of research enabled the technical achievement of just one of these bottles. For Christmas 2008, Issey Miyake pays homage to Shiro Kuramata by bringing to life 2,500 numbered, limited-edition bottles.

• Frosty Christmas

  For Christmas 2008, Issey Miyake is breaking from his legendary pure style. “Frosty winter mornings offer spectacular landscapes sprinkled with thousands of snowflakes and ice crystals that are opalescent white in the sparkling light...” Each gift set is adorned with a fiery red sash and a luscious landscape full of subtle details. The lid opens like a frost-covered window to reveal luxurious gifts from the Issey Miyake range and a myriad of white snowflakes set against a silver backdrop.

• L’EAU D’ISSEY REFLECTIONS IN A DROP

  First there was “A drop on a petal”. And now L’Eau d’Issey invents a new tale to celebrate another fleeting moment of nature...the tale of a full, fragrant drop sitting on the petal of a flower just after a rain shower as it glides effortlessly into the water… “Reflections in a drop”. This delicate, sparkling mist is made up of thousands of tiny drops that reveal the poetic trail lingering in the reflection of a musky, floral dewdrop… For this new limited edition, the L’Eau d’Issey bottle comes dressed in a thousand misty opaline reflections. A multitude of concentric half-circle cut-outs adorn the box, capturing the fleeting, abstract moment when waves are formed by a falling drop of water.

• LES EAUX D’ETE DREAMS OF WATER

  For summer 2008 Issey Miyake takes a fresh look at eaux de toilettes for summer, creating a “dream of water”, a fantastic voyage between sky and water. The delicate graphics grace the Eaux d’Issey bottles. This is dream of water when the sky is the deepest of blues and the sun absolutely dazzling. The dream of water that gushes from clouds, streams down waterfalls to streams and outlines flowers before setting off for further escapades. L’Eau d’Issey Eau de Toilette pour l’Eté: a luminous floral scent with a velvety trail. L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme Eau de Toilette pour l’Eté: a spicy, woody hesperide scent.

• SPRINGTIME WITH EAUX D’ISSEY

  Issey Miyake Parfums invites you to share a unique artistic experience this spring. A series of guest artists will draw inspiration from the universe of Issey Miyake to explore its infinite sources of creativity. Five new visuals have been created and displayed like fully-fledged works of art. Through plays on light and a very "pop art" staging, each fragrance reveals a novel facet of its personality.

• Christmas 2007

  Issey Miyake celebrates the magic of Christmas, the wonder of a walk in the snow under the moonlight, of watching the snowflakes fall and morph into myriad forms…The shadow of the box becomes a Christmas tree created from a multitude of snowflakes. This dream of Christmas spawned three gift sets: L’Eau d’Issey, L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme and L’Eau Bleue d’Issey Eau Fraîche, white with sleek, pure lines. In the center of each box is a delicately perforated Christmas tree, like a magical invitation to become lost in the reverie of these soft images …

• Summer Fragrances 2007

  L’Eau d’Issey and L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme revel in fresh green for summer 2007. The two bottles are rolling in the grass, transported by their reverie. With a rustle of leaves, L’Eau d’Issey celebrates the soft freshness of Rose Water while L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme takes flight on Little Seeds and Rosemary. The L’Eau d’Issey sets aside its sober look for a vegetal design. The L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme bottle recounts the story of this singular “green” happiness. These summer Eaux de Toilette have that feeling of simple happiness that expresses what is really essential.

• A DROP ON A PETAL

  In 2007, L’Eau d’Issey began a historic episode in its history with an ephemeral creation full of nuance and refinement, evoking the scent of mist or dew: a delicate floral scent with a musk-inspired trail. A fragrance revisited by Alberto Morillas, the celebrated and talented Firmenich perfumer. For this new scented escapade, L’Eau d’Issey indulges in a bottle with opalescent reflections, encased in a box whose multiple perforations evoke drops of dew.
